- Deputy Sheriff
The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for a full time Deputy Sheriff Position. Applicants must have a High School Diploma and a valid ND Drivers License with clean record and must be ND P.O.S.T. licensed or licensable as a Peace Officer. Applicants must have good public relations and communication skills and must be able to follow directives, policies and procedures. Applicants will be provided all necessary equipment to safely and efficiently perform their duties including body armor, taser, take-home patrol vehicle, uniforms, duty weapon, patrol rifle, duty belt and leather gear. Duties to include but not limited to enforcement of state and local criminal and traffic laws. Patrol of highways and rural areas, criminal investigations, serving of civil process and any/all law enforcement duties. Applicants may be called upon and asked for an interview. Starting salary will be $38,800 per year dependent on experience. Successful applicants will be on a 6 month probationary period if hired. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, bereavement and NDPERS retirement. Full Blue Cross Blue Shield family health insurance policy as well as dental & vision insurance options. Successful applicants will be required to live in Ramsey County.

Successful candidate is one who seeks to engage with and assist families and children to promote safety, permanency and wellbeing of children with solution focused strategies.
