Type: Full Time/Non-Exempt
Salary: $2,814+/DOE
Closing Date: May 7, 2019
Minimum Qualifications: Requires High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of clerical experience. Applicant must possess computer knowledge and be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Access. Applicant must be detail-oriented and possess excellent customer service skills and be able to move about, reaching, stooping and lifting up to 30lbs. Individuals must be able to qualify for and complete Passport training to become an Agent.
Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of legal descriptions and experience with document retrieval software, scanning and accurate data entry.
Job Duties: Assist the County Recorder in the day to day functions of the Recorder’s office including but not limited to: recording, input and maintenance of documents; Passport Acceptance Agent; issuing and maintaining of marriage licenses; filing of burial permits, wills and military discharge papers; assisting the public with inquiries and questions; other duties as assigned by the Recorder. The Deputy County Recorder will manage all aspects of the office in the absence of the County Recorder.
