Tax Equalization
Responsibilities
The Tax Equalization office oversees the property tax assessment function for Ramsey County. Our responsibilities are to administer the tax laws of North Dakota pertaining to property taxes.
The Tax Director also advises the Ramsey County Commission concerning valuation, taxation, and assessment issues.
Appraisals
The appraisal process is administered on properties which are located outside the city limits of Devils Lake. Appraisals are done on every property so the property owners are taxed fairly and equally. With the help of a mass appraisal software program we can arrive at a fair market estimate of a true and full value.
