The meeting was called to order by Joe Belford, Chairman. Roll call was taken and the following members were present: Commissioners Gage, Olson, Mertens, Diseth & Belford.

The board & visitors present recited the pledge of allegiance.

Motion was made by Commissioner Gage, seconded by Commissioner Diseth to approve the minutes of the May 4, 2010 meeting. All members voted “AYE”. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Mertens, seconded by Commissioner Olson to approve the FEMA hours for Kevin Fieldsend, Co Highway Superintendent in the amount of $1,298.77 to be paid on the June 1, 2010 payroll. Roll call was taken and the following members voted “AYE”: Commissioners Gage, Diseth, Olson, Mertens & Belford. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Mertens, seconded by Commissioner Gage to table the Maintenance Agreement for Co/Township R-O-W until the June 1, 2010 meeting so that the Co States Attorney can review. All members voted “AYE”. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Diseth, seconded by Commissioner Olson to hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. to award the low bid on RC#3 by Rohrville & RC#4 by Fox Lake. All members voted “AYE”. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Gage, seconded by Commissioner Mertens to write a letter to the ND Department of Transportation to request a concrete structure instead of corrugated steel structure to be placed in the Ramsey County Right-of-Way on the road referred to as the Military Road on Project SER-3-020(082) (098) PCN 17974. We feel the concrete structure will outlast the steel structure, provide a better ride on the traveling surface and require less maintenance in the future. At this time we have been told that we can not have a concrete structure even though they will be working within our right-of-way. All members voted “AYE”. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Diseth, seconded by Commissioner Mertens to approve the purchase of more 18” & 36” culverts costing approximately $13,000.00. All members voted “AYE”. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Diseth, seconded by Commissioner Olson to install 2) 96” arch & 2) 102” arch when we remove Bridge 127-13 in Cato Township between Sections 3 & 4 and to also install 2) 102” arch in Bridge 138-6.1 in Highland Center Township between Sections 34 & 35. All members voted “AYE”. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Gage, seconded by Commissioner Olson to deny selling the Ramsey County Sheriff’s House to a client of Vorland Land Co. All members voted “AYE”. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Mertens, seconded by Commissioner Gage to have the Chairman sign the Admission of Service & Consent to Judgement on the 99 year lease papers at the recommendation of the Ramsey Co States Attorney. All members voted “AYE”. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Diseth, seconded by Commissioner Olson to approve the site authorization for the Devils Lake Youth Activities Association to conduct games of chance at the Flyway Bar, Webster ND, from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011. All members voted “AYE”. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Mertens, seconded by Commissioner Olson to approve the raffle permit submitted by Devils Lake Golf Course to conduct a raffle on September 4, 2010 at the Devils Lake Golf Course. All members voted “AYE”. Motion carried.

Jerry Ratzlaff, Co Tax Director, informed the board about agri land that is inundated.

Motion was made by Commissioner Mertens, seconded by Commissioner Gage to write FEMA a letter on the structures left in the water. All members voted “AYE”. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Mertens, seconded by Commissioner Diseth to adjourn at 5:30 p.m. All members voted “AYE”. Motion carried.
