SPECIAL MEETING, RAMSEY COUNTY COMMISSION

MONDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2007

8:00 A.M.

The meeting was called to order by Pam Brekke, Chairman.  Roll call was taken & the following members were present: Commissioners Diseth, Gage, Mertens, Belford & Brekke.

The board recited the pledge of allegiance.

Motion was made by Commissioner Belford, seconded by Commissioner Gage to approve the minutes of the December 18, 2007 meeting.  All members voted “AYE”.  Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Belford, seconded by Commissioner Mertens to approve the transfer of $82,000.00 from the County Human Service Fund to the Social Service Fund and $41,823.00 from the Emergency Poor Fund to the Social Service Fund.  All members voted “AYE”.  Motion carried.

At this time interviews were held with James Ziegler, Doug Lee & Jim Berg.

Motion was made by Commissioner Gage, seconded by Commissioner Diseth to appoint Jim Berg to the Ramsey County Water Resource District Board for a 3yr term ending 12-31-2010.  All members voted “AYE”.  Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Belford, seconded by Commissioner Mertens to appoint James Ziegler to the Ramsey County Planning/Zoning Board for a 4yr term ending 12-31-2011.  All members voted “AYE”.  Motion carried.

An interview per telephone with John Martinson at 8:50 am.

Motion was made by Commissioner Gage, seconded by Commissioner Belford to appoint John Martinson to the Ramsey County Planning/Zoning Board for a 4yr term ending 12-31-2011.  All members voted “AYE”.  Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Belford, seconded by Commissioner Mertens to approve the 2007 Budget Amendments as presented by the County Auditor.  Roll call was taken and the following members voted “AYE”: Commissioners Diseth, Gage, Mertens, Belford & Brekke.  Motion carried.

Motion was made by Commissioner Belford, seconded by Commissioner Diseth to adjourn the meeting at 9:10 a.m.  All members voted “AYE”.  Motion carried.
