Job Title: Veterans Service Officer
Type: Full-time, Exempt

Salary: $3,246 – 3,636 per month/DOE

Minimum Qualifications:
Understand the laws, both state and federal, enacted for the benefit of returning servicemen and servicewomen to assist such returning members of the armed forces in the presentation, proof, and establishment of such claims, privileges, and rights as they have.  
Knowledgeable with available community resources and agencies for veterans, both public and private.
Experience with principles and methods of interviewing.  
Possess computer knowledge.
Effective communication/listening skills.
Must be accredited (or willing to obtain accreditation within 12 months of employment) by the North Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs or National Association of County Veteran’s Service Officers per NDCC 37-14-18.
Valid driver’s license.
High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Veterans Affairs and with veterans applying for benefits.

Job Duties:
Support the Veteran's Service Office for the purpose of assisting veterans, widows of veterans, children or other eligible relatives of veterans in making claims for benefits to the Veteran's Administration.  Assist in all matters counseling veterans and referring them to the appropriate professional people to alleviate their problems while following the ND Department of Veterans Affairs Code of Ethics.  

This position administers Veteran Services for the counties of Ramsey, Nelson, and Benson.  Travel to these counties is required.

Job Title: Attendant Care Worker
Type: Part-time, Non-exempt

Salary: $12/Hour

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent. This position requires CPR and First Aid Certifications, paid training provided if needed. 

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with youth.

Job Duties:
Provides constant awake supervision to youth placed in our care as an alternative to a detention facility
Provides role-modeling to youth
Must report to work within 30 minutes of being called (if you are on call)
Facilitate, admit, and release juveniles
Complete all necessary paperwork
Attend staff meetings and training sessions
Maintain client information in a confidential manner
Must keep in communication with the Attendant Care Coordinator 
Work effectively as a team member
Act as relief staff when not on-call, taking shifts as needed
The opportunity is available to be paid $50.00 per week to be on call.
